Mahj Palazzo Table of the Season

Official Rules & Submission Terms
Effective September 1, 2026
The Mahj Palazzo Table of the Season (“Contest”) is a skill-based photography and tablescape contest operated by 
Leonardo Neumeyer, doing business as Mahj Palazzo (“Mahj Palazzo,” “Sponsor,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By submitting photographs through mahjpalazzo.com/thetable, you agree to these Official Rules & Submission Terms.
1. Eligibility
The Contest is open to legal residents of the United States and the District of Columbia, excluding residents of Arizona 
and Washington, who are at least 18 years old and have reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence.
Residents of Puerto Rico and other U.S. territories and possessions are not eligible.
Employees, contractors directly involved in administering or judging the Contest, and members of their immediate 
households are not eligible.
Void in Arizona, Washington, Puerto Rico, U.S. territories and possessions, and wherever prohibited or restricted by 
law.
No purchase is necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not improve an entrant’s likelihood of selection.
This is a skill-based Contest. The selected submission will be determined according to the published judging criteria 
and will not be selected by chance.
2. Seasonal Contest Periods
The Contest operates through four seasonal periods each year.
All times are Eastern Time (“ET”). Mahj Palazzo’s website systems will serve as the official timekeeping mechanism.
Autumn 2026
Entry Period: September 1, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. ET through November 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
Judging: December 1–14, 2026.
Potential selected entrant notified no later than December 21, 2026.
Winter 2026–2027
Entry Period: December 1, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. ET through February 28, 2027 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
Judging: March 1–14, 2027.
Potential selected entrant notified no later than March 21, 2027.
Spring 2027
Entry Period: March 1, 2027 at 12:00 a.m. ET through May 31, 2027 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
Judging: June 1–14, 2027.
Potential selected entrant notified no later than June 21, 2027.
Summer 2027
Entry Period: June 1, 2027 at 12:00 a.m. ET through August 31, 2027 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
Judging: September 1–14, 2027.
Potential selected entrant notified no later than September 21, 2027.
Future annual cycles are intended to follow the same seasonal calendar. In a leap year, the Winter Entry Period 
closes February 29 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
3. How to Enter
During an applicable Entry Period, visit:
mahjpalazzo.com/thetable
and complete the submission form.
An eligible entry requires:
1. Your first name and a valid email address.
2. At least one eligible photograph of a tablescape featuring a genuine Mahj Palazzo mat.
3. Acceptance of these Official Rules & Submission Terms.
You may optionally:
 Upload up to two additional photographs.
 Provide your Instagram handle for attribution.
 Share a short description or story about your table.
 Subscribe separately to Mahj Palazzo marketing communications.
You do not need to have purchased the Mahj Palazzo mat shown in your submission. You may photograph a genuine 
Mahj Palazzo mat that you lawfully own, borrow, or otherwise have permission to use and photograph.
4. Entry Limit
Limit one Contest entry per person per seasonal Contest Period.
An entry may contain up to three photographs.
Submitting additional photographs does not create additional entries or automatically improve your judging score.
If more than one photograph is submitted, the images will be evaluated collectively as one Contest entry.
5. Social Media Is Optional
You are not required to:
 Post publicly on social media.
 Follow Mahj Palazzo.
 Share to Instagram Stories.
 Tag friends.
 Receive likes, comments, saves, or shares.
None of these actions will affect your judging score.
If you choose to share your table on Instagram, you may tag @MahjPalazzo and use #MahjPalazzoTable.
If you post specifically in connection with your Contest participation, clearly disclose that relationship, including 
through #MahjPalazzoTableContest or similarly clear language.
6. Photograph Requirements
Each submission must:
 Depict an actual physical Mahjong tablescape.
 Feature a genuine Mahj Palazzo mat in a visible and recognizable manner.
 Be submitted by the photographer or by someone who has the rights and permissions necessary to 
submit and license the photograph.
 Accurately represent the Mahj Palazzo product shown.
 Comply with these terms.
Standard photographic adjustments such as cropping, exposure correction, white balance, and minor color 
correction are permitted.
Photographs created wholly or materially using generative artificial intelligence are not eligible.
Synthetic replacement of the tablescape or product, material AI-generated alterations, or deceptive manipulation 
that substantially changes the actual scene or product are not permitted.
Mahj Palazzo may request an original image file or other reasonable information to verify authenticity.
7. People Appearing in Photographs
Photographs containing identifiable minors are not eligible.
If an identifiable adult appears in your submission, you represent that the individual has consented to:
 Being photographed.
 The photograph being submitted to Mahj Palazzo.
 Mahj Palazzo using their image or likeness for the uses described in these terms.
Mahj Palazzo may request an additional written model or likeness release before using a photograph containing an 
identifiable person in certain advertising placements.
8. Judging
Eligible submissions will be evaluated by one or more judges appointed by Mahj Palazzo according to the following 
criteria:
Overall Visual Impact, 30%
The strength of the photograph’s overall impression, atmosphere, beauty, and ability to draw the viewer into the 
tablescape.
Originality & Personal Expression, 25%
The extent to which the submission communicates a distinctive point of view, personality, occasion, creative 
direction, or individual interpretation of the Mahjong table.
Composition & Photographic Quality, 20%
Framing, lighting, balance, clarity, presentation, and the effectiveness with which the tablescape is photographed.
Professional photography equipment is not required.
Styling & Thoughtful Detail, 15%
The intentionality of the table and its details, which may include tiles, racks, flowers, linens, tableware, refreshments, 
color, decorative elements, or other personal touches.
No specific decorative element is required.
Mahj Palazzo Integration, 10%
How naturally and effectively the Mahj Palazzo mat is incorporated into the overall tablescape.
A luxurious home, expensive décor, professional photography, or elaborate event styling is not required and will not 
independently increase a submission’s score.
The eligible submission receiving the highest combined score will be designated the Mahj Palazzo Table of the 
Season.
9. Tie-Breaking
If two or more submissions receive the same final score, the submission with the higher Overall Visual Impact score 
will prevail.
If a tie remains, the higher Originality & Personal Expression score will determine the selected submission.
Remaining ties will be resolved using, in order:
1. Composition & Photographic Quality
2. Styling & Thoughtful Detail
3. Mahj Palazzo Integration
No random drawing will be used.
10. Prize
One selected entrant for each seasonal Contest Period will receive:
One Mahj Palazzo mat of their choice, subject to availability.
Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $95 USD.
The prize is non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash.
If the selected design is unavailable, Mahj Palazzo may ask the recipient to select another available mat of 
comparable value.
Standard prize delivery to an eligible United States shipping address will be provided by Mahj Palazzo.
Any applicable taxes or other obligations associated with accepting the prize are the recipient’s responsibility.
11. Selected Entrant Notification
The potential Table of the Season recipient will be contacted using the email address provided with the submission.
The potential recipient must respond within five calendar days.
Mahj Palazzo may request reasonable documentation necessary to verify identity, eligibility, photograph ownership 
or permissions, and compliance with these terms.
If the potential recipient cannot be contacted, does not respond within five calendar days, is determined to be 
ineligible, declines the prize, or cannot provide requested rights or permissions, the entry may be disqualified.
Mahj Palazzo may then select the eligible submission with the next-highest judging score.
Submission & Usage Rights
12. You Keep Ownership of Your Photographs
You retain ownership of any copyright you hold in the photographs you submit.
Submitting your photographs does not transfer copyright ownership to Mahj Palazzo.
Instead, you grant Mahj Palazzo the rights described below.
13. License Granted to Mahj Palazzo
By submitting photographs and accepting these terms, you grant Mahj Palazzo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-
free, fully paid-up license to use, reproduce, display, publish, distribute, transmit, adapt, resize, crop, format, edit, 
and create promotional or derivative versions of your submitted photographs in connection with Mahj Palazzo’s 
business, products, editorial activities, advertising, marketing, and promotions.
Authorized uses include:
 Mahj Palazzo websites
 Homepage and landing pages
 Product and collection pages
 Customer galleries
 Email marketing
 SMS marketing
 Organic social media
 Instagram
 Facebook
 Pinterest
 TikTok
 Other digital platforms
 Digital advertising
 Paid social-media advertising
 Meta advertising
 Retargeting and remarketing
 Display advertising
 Editorial and blog content
 Digital catalogs
 Wholesale and retail materials
 Printed promotional materials
 Other Mahj Palazzo marketing and promotional materials
The license applies in all media and formats now known or later developed, to the extent permitted by law.
14. Paid Advertising Permission
You expressly authorize Mahj Palazzo to use submitted photographs in paid advertising.
Mahj Palazzo may provide photographs to advertising platforms, agencies, designers, contractors, technology 
providers, printers, ecommerce providers, and other service providers reasonably necessary to create, distribute, 
manage, measure, or optimize Mahj Palazzo advertising and marketing.
No additional approval or payment is required each time an authorized photograph is used under these terms.
15. Editing and Creative Adaptation
Mahj Palazzo may reasonably modify submitted photographs for different creative formats and placements.
This may include:
 Cropping
 Resizing
 Reformatting
 Changing orientation
 Adjusting brightness, contrast, or color balance
 Adding Mahj Palazzo branding
 Adding text, headlines, graphics, borders, or calls to action
 Combining the photograph with other Mahj Palazzo creative elements
 Producing different aspect ratios or advertising variations
Mahj Palazzo will not intentionally alter a photograph in a way that materially misrepresents the Mahj Palazzo 
product shown or falsely attributes to you an opinion, claim, testimonial, or experience you did not provide.
16. Attribution
Where practical and appropriate, Mahj Palazzo may credit you using your first name, Instagram handle, or other 
attribution information you voluntarily provide.
Attribution is not guaranteed and is not a condition of authorized use.
17. Duration
The license granted under these terms is perpetual and irrevocable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Mahj Palazzo may therefore continue using previously submitted photographs after the applicable Contest Period 
ends.
Any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable law remain unaffected.
18. No Additional Compensation
Except for any prize you may receive if selected as Table of the Season, you will not receive royalties, licensing fees, 
advertising fees, or other monetary compensation for authorized use of submitted photographs.
Entry does not guarantee:
 Selection as Table of the Season.
 Publication or feature.
 Use in advertising.
 Attribution.
 Any other benefit not expressly described in these terms.
19. Your Rights and Permissions
By submitting photographs, you represent that:
 You took the photographs yourself or have permission from the applicable photographer or copyright 
owner.
 You have authority to grant Mahj Palazzo the rights described here.
 Your submission does not knowingly infringe another person’s copyright, trademark, privacy, 
publicity, or other legal rights.
 You have obtained necessary permission from identifiable adults appearing in the photographs.
 Your submission accurately represents the Mahj Palazzo product shown.
Mahj Palazzo may request evidence of these permissions where reasonably necessary.
20. Captions, Stories, and Written Material
If you voluntarily submit a description, caption, story, comment, or other written material, you give Mahj Palazzo 
permission to reproduce, publish, excerpt, format, and reasonably edit that material in connection with your 
submission.
Mahj Palazzo will not intentionally edit your words in a way that materially changes the substance of an opinion or 
experience you communicated.
21. Endorsements and Disclosures
Participation in the Contest may constitute a relationship or incentive that requires disclosure in certain advertising 
contexts.
You authorize Mahj Palazzo to add reasonable labels, disclosures, captions, or notices necessary to comply with 
advertising, endorsement, or consumer-protection requirements.
Mahj Palazzo will not invent a testimonial, product opinion, claim, or personal experience you did not actually 
communicate.
22. Editorial Features Are Separate from Winning
The Mahj Palazzo Table is also an ongoing editorial and customer-content program.
Mahj Palazzo may feature or use submissions based on aesthetic fit, product relevance, format, seasonal relevance, 
storytelling, campaign requirements, or other legitimate editorial and marketing considerations.
A photograph may be featured or used without winning Table of the Season.
A Table of the Season winner does not need to have been previously featured.
Whether Mahj Palazzo has previously used a photograph will not affect Contest judging.
23. Optional Marketing Subscription
Marketing subscription is separate and optional.
Choosing to subscribe or not subscribe will not affect:
 Eligibility
 Judging
 Contest scores
 Selection
 Editorial consideration
 The permissions granted for submitted photographs
You may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time without affecting an otherwise eligible Contest 
entry.
24. No Obligation to Use Your Submission
Mahj Palazzo is not required to:
 Publish a photograph.
 Feature an entrant.
 Use every image submitted.
 Use attribution.
 Notify you before every authorized use.
 Provide advertising or performance results.
 Continue a particular use indefinitely.
Mahj Palazzo may begin, change, or discontinue authorized uses at its discretion.
25. Previous Content and Removal Requests
You may contact Mahj Palazzo regarding content you previously submitted.
Mahj Palazzo may consider reasonable requests concerning future use, but because the license granted under these 
terms is continuing, Mahj Palazzo is not required to discontinue an otherwise authorized use except where required 
by applicable law.
Mahj Palazzo may also be unable to recall or remove materials already:
 Printed
 Distributed
 Emailed
 Delivered as advertising
 Shared or redistributed by third parties
 Archived
 Provided to vendors, retailers, or platforms
Nothing in this section limits non-waivable rights under applicable law.
26. Privacy
Information collected in connection with The Mahj Palazzo Table may be used to:
 Administer submissions.
 Verify eligibility.
 Conduct judging.
 Contact entrants.
 Deliver prizes.
 Maintain records of content permissions.
 Attribute photographs.
 Manage authorized marketing uses.
Personal information will otherwise be handled according to Mahj Palazzo’s Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Marketing communications will be sent only where you separately provide the applicable consent.
27. Prohibited Conduct and Disqualification
Mahj Palazzo may disqualify an entry that:
 Violates these terms.
 Contains false or misleading information.
 Uses unauthorized or infringing material.
 Contains identifiable minors.
 Contains materially AI-generated or synthetic imagery.
 Materially misrepresents a Mahj Palazzo product.
 Contains unlawful, hateful, threatening, obscene, discriminatory, or otherwise unsuitable content.
 Attempts to manipulate or interfere with judging.
 Is submitted fraudulently or through automated means.
Eligibility and compliance determinations will be made in good faith.
28. Instagram and Third-Party Platforms
The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, Meta, 
Pinterest, TikTok, Shopify, or any other third-party social or technology platform.
By participating, entrants release Instagram from claims relating to administration of the Contest to the extent 
permitted by law.
Questions regarding the Contest should be directed to Mahj Palazzo and not to Instagram or another third-party 
platform.
29. Technical Problems
Mahj Palazzo is not responsible for submissions that are lost, incomplete, corrupted, misdirected, delayed, or not 
received because of technical failures outside its reasonable control.
Mahj Palazzo may permit correction or resubmission during the applicable Entry Period where appropriate.
30. Modification or Cancellation
To the extent permitted by law, Mahj Palazzo may suspend, modify, postpone, or cancel the Contest if circumstances 
outside its reasonable control materially affect the security, integrity, administration, or fairness of the Contest.
Mahj Palazzo will not intentionally change the published judging criteria during an active Entry Period in a manner 
that disadvantages existing entrants.
31. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Mahj Palazzo will not be responsible for losses or damages arising 
from participation in the Contest or acceptance or use of the prize, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded 
or limited.
Nothing in these terms removes any consumer right that cannot legally be waived.
32. Governing Law
To the extent permitted by applicable law, these Official Rules & Submission Terms are governed by the laws of the 
State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Nothing in these terms limits any right that cannot legally be waived.
33. Acceptance
By checking the consent box and submitting photographs through The Mahj Palazzo Table, you confirm that you 
have read and agree to these Official Rules & Submission Terms.
